The Dynastic Hero was first released by Hudson Soft in 1993 and was developed by Westone who is known for the 'Wonder Boy' series of games. Originally, this game was released as Wonder Boy in Monster World, known in Japan as Wonder Boy V: Monster World III. This re-branded version for the Turbo Duo features palette-swapped sprites with an insect-theme, a Red Book audio soundtrack which differs completely from the Wonder Boy original, and anime-style cutscenes with full-vocal intro and ending.
