Attention Duophiles: The server on which Duophile resides cannot keep up with demands of the current chat implementation! In effort to keep the chat online with fewer disruptions as well as to dramatically enhance the chat experience, I'm considering the purchase of a commercial solution rather than relying on freeware/self-made stuff.
If you would be willing to contribute to this, please PM me or post your pledge in the comments below. We have two goals:
1. $130 - Improved chat that functions like facebook's chat -plus- still has chatrooms for public discussion. It would integrate super well with the entire site, meaning users would be free to browse and chat all in one browser window.
2. $250 - If we can reach this goal, a smartphone app can be added to chat. In layman's terms: CHAT ON YOUR PHONE WITHOUT SCROLLING GLITCHES AND CONSTANT TIMEOUTS.
I will be contributing to this as well, I just can't do it by myself. Please halp!
